Solved: I reset my Windows 10 to 8.1, and now Windows update doesn't work

The answer: You need the new version of windows update.

  1. Download KB3173424 and  KB3172614 to the desktop
  2. Stop the existing windows update service. To do this, press windows key and R key, type services.msc into the run box, locate the windows update service in the list (wuauserv) and stop it.
  3. Disconnect your computer from the network
  4. Restart the computer
  5. Install KB3173424
  6. Install  KB3172614
  7. Restart windows update (I think)
  8. Connect to the network

Raw local pollen for allergies

My husband is switching from local honey to local pollen for his seasonal allergies.

Based on my research, here is a good guideline:
  1. Start off with a half teaspoon or a little less
  2. Look for any allergic reactions
  3. Slowly increase intake over a month
  4. Work up to 1 to 3 tablespoons
  5. The dosage of bee pollen in tablespoons is roughly the equivalent of honey
It can be taken in yogurt, cereal, or just about anything. Some people prefer to simply chew their bee pollen and swallow. If dissolved in warm water, however, it can take 2 hours to dissolve. Bee pollen gives a pop of energy so maybe it's best to take earlier in the day, rather than at night. However, the experts say it's not a stimulant and for most people it doesn't matter what time of day it's taken.

Bee pollen has a lot of B vitamins in it (hence the pop of energy). For this reason, it might be best to skip pollen (and honey for that matter) when you have a cold.

Note: A 2 pound jar of honey lasts three weeks or a little less when taking 3 tablespoons per day.
